Marlène Schiappa hung up her ministerial boots on May 20. She has not yet said what her future will be like. Maybe she’ll walk away from politics. Maybe not. A retraining in the media also seems possible for the ex-minister, who had notably participated in Cyril Hanouna’s broadcasts on C8 during Emmanuel Macron’s first term. Invited to speak about her future on Tuesday June 21 on CNews, Marlène Schiappa confirmed that she was discussing with Cyril Hanouna, but insisted that they had no show project together.

“I love the media. It’s not a secret. (…) I had two or three proposals and I am discussing them. I must choose among these proposals. Maybe I will have others coming,” she replied to Pascal Praud, who asked her if the media field interested her.

“We talk a lot with Cyril Hanouna. There is no television program planned on C8 (…). But we are discussing, I have projects,” added Marlène Schiappa. No project on France Télévisions, however, since the former Minister of Solidarity has confirmed that he has no contact with the public service.
