Senior engineer-programmer Avast Vojtech Barrels told about the measures which will allow users to protect your WhatsApp account. On it informs “the Newspaper.ru”.

According to experts, you should not leave a phone number on forums, websites and social network pages. If you want to specify your contact, then better to write email address.

“If someone claims that he needs to confirm one of your accounts using the authentication code, then most likely it’s a Scam”, – said the expert.

He added that such codes are unique passwords that should not be published or passed on to third parties.

If the account was hacked, it is important to notify friends or loved ones. “Ask them to ignore any messages that come from your account until the issue is resolved,” – concluded the Barrels.

Earlier it was reported that WhatsApp will stop working on some devices. The changes will affect those users who have smartphones with older versions of the operating systems iOS and Android.
