Yacht Club Games recently held a special presentation to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shovel Knight. During the event, they made some exciting announcements, including the revelation of a new game in the Shovel Knight series.

Although the new game doesn’t have a title yet and wasn’t shown during the presentation, Yacht Club Games confirmed that it is currently in development. They hinted that clues about the nature of this new title can be found in other Shovel Knight games like Shovel Knight Dig, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.

According to the studio, this new game will not just be another sequel, but a bold new adventure that will take Shovel Knight into a whole new dimension of gaming. While we’ll have to wait to learn more about this mysterious new game, Yacht Club Games did announce an enhanced version of the original Shovel Knight game called Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX. This definitive edition of the indie classic will feature 20 new playable characters, a rewind function, save states, online multiplayer, cheats, and more. However, no release date or platforms have been announced for Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX.

In addition to these updates, Yacht Club Games also revealed that free DLC is coming for Shovel Knight Dig and Pocket Dungeon. They also provided an update on their upcoming action-adventure game, Mina the Hollower. A new trailer showcasing gameplay was released, and the studio mentioned that they are close to completing the initial pass on all level content. They will now focus on polishing and refining the gameplay, with the game now featuring an expansive overworld and RPG elements that were not originally planned. Yacht Club Games promises a big gameplay reveal in the near future.
