Operators ready to discuss free access to significant Internet resources

the Mobile operators “Beeline” and “MegaFon” is ready to discuss the idea of providing the Russians free access to socially important Internet resources, reports TASS. It is considered technically feasible.

In his address to the Federal Assembly the President proposed to prepare a draft Affordable Internet to provide free access to socially significant Russian Internet services. According to Putin, the Internet has become a daily necessity for citizens. He called the Network access for the maximum number of Russians the key to the progressive development of the country and maintain its competitiveness in the future.

the Head of state reminded that Russia is one of the few countries in the world with its social networks, instant messengers, mail and search systems as well as other national resources.

In December, Putin signed a law banning the sell of electronic devices without Russian software. He obliges with the 1 July 2020 to preset the Russian on smartphones, computers and televisions.

According to the authors ideas, users this will allow you to use equipment without having to install additional mobile applications operating in Russia. In addition, the project will protect local developers.
