Elisabeth Borne speaks Friday with Emmanuel Macron to present the conclusions of the consultations she conducted this week with the parties, said spokeswoman Olivia Grégoire, believing that a reshuffle should take place “in all coherence” before Wednesday.

“They are going to see each other today and it seems almost normal to me that the Prime Minister should reserve her conclusions for the President of the Republic following these exchanges,” said the government spokeswoman on LCI.

Ms. Borne conducted consultations this week “for the composition of a new government of action” and a “roadmap”, as Emmanuel Macron asked her, who returned Thursday from the G7 summits in Germany and NATO. in Spain.

Asked about a possible reshuffle before the head of government delivers her general policy statement to Parliament on Wednesday, Ms. Grégoire replied: “In all consistency, normally it should happen like that, yes”.

The Head of State confirmed last Saturday his “confidence” in the Prime Minister after the loss of the absolute majority in the legislative elections.

According to Ms. Grégoire, the head of government devoted “15 hours” this week to these consultations.

She will deliver her general policy statement on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the National Assembly, then at 9:00 p.m. in the Senate.

The question of a vote of confidence on this declaration, which would engage the responsibility of the Prime Minister before the deputies, has not yet been decided, however, as confirmed by the government spokesperson.

“Elisabeth Borne will make her decision in soul and conscience,” she said.
